Under heavy abrasive or bearing loads, unfilled PEEK wears faster than its reinforced siblings. Processing also demands discipline: PEEK requires drying before molding, high melt temperatures of 360 to 400 deg C, and controlled crystallization through post-mold annealing to reach target crystallinity and dimensional stability.
